For our Legal Department, we are looking for an In-House Legal Counsel (m/f/d) to join us at our Frankfurt am Main location as soon as possible.

 

Legal Department:

The legal department in our company works as one team with various strategic functions such as legal counsel, ESG, quality management and risk management.  This integrated approach creates a dynamic working environment and offers team members the opportunity to gain cross-functional insights and expand their expertise across multiple business areas.

 

Responsibility

  • Monitor, interpret, and advise on German and European chemical regulations, including REACH, CLP, and the German Chemicals Act (Chemikaliengesetz), ensuring the company’s operations remain compliant
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, and licensing contracts, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Identify potential legal risks related to the company’s activities and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external legal standards.

 

Qualification

  • Admission to the bar in Germany
  • A minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably within the chemical industry or a related sector
  • In-depth knowledge of German and European chemical regulations and environmental laws
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and management
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and German; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment
