Halocarbon LLC - Chemistry + Collaboration Creates Breakthroughs

Halocarbon Engineerd Fluids

For over 60 years, Halocarbon LLC and Sojitz SOLVADIS have been partners in the distribution of Halocarbon oils. Manufactured in North Augusta, USA, Halocarbon oils are used wherever conventional lubricants fail.

InfinX Metalworking Fluids - Making the unmachinable machinable

InfinX Metal Working Fluids are specifically
formulated to simplify the machining of refractory
metals and alloys. These are materials primarily
comprised of tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, or
niobium, but can also contain other metals like
titanium, rhenium and nickel.

inert Lubricants

Inert, non-flammable, non-corrosive, hydrocarbon-free, and low in toxicity — these are the characteristics of Halocarbon’s inert lubricants. Whether for valves, pumps, or pressure gauges, as barrier fluids in mechanical seals, or as vacuum pump oils — whenever equipment comes into contact with highly reactive chemicals, Halocarbon oils are the first choice. Regularly tested by BAM for use in oxygen applications and widely used in chlorination systems.

Instrumental analysis

In low-temperature calibration baths, Halocarbon Oil 0.8 is used as a safe alternative to methanol. Especially at temperatures around -100°C, it exhibits comparable physical properties while being neither toxic nor flammable.

Risk minimization for pressure gauges – the inert fill fluid

Membrane damage in pressure sensors is annoying — but it becomes dangerous when the fill fluid reacts explosively with the reactants. Halocarbon oils, used as fill fluids, are inert, offer similar compressibility to mineral and silicone oils, and are easy to clean from filling stations when switching oils.

Inert hydraulic oil for diaphragm pumps and compressors – the safe solution

Diaphragm pumps and compressors are a safe option for pumping or compressing highly reactive substances. The diaphragm hermetically seals the interior of the pump from the outside. However, diaphragm failures can never be completely ruled out. With inert Halocarbon oils, your safety is ensured even in the event of a potential diaphragm failure.
